چکیده

In contrast to the progress in research on physiological disorders relating shelf life fruit crops, it has been difficult non-destructively predict their occurrence. Recent high-tech instruments have gradually enabled non-destructive predictions for various some while there are still issues terms of efficiency and costs. Here, we propose application a deep neural network (or simply learning) simple RGB images severe disorder persimmon, rapid over-softening. With 1,080 ‘Soshu’ persimmon fruits, three convolutional networks (CNN) were examined over-softened fruits with binary classification date softening. All CNN models worked successfully controls > 80% accuracy using multiple criteria. Furthermore, prediction values confidence) correlated Although features by learning thought be black box conventional standards, recent feature visualization methods “explainable” allowed identification relevant regions original images. We applied Grad-CAM, Guided backpropagation, layer-wise relevance propagation (LRP), find early symptoms CNNs fruits. The focus tended color unevenness surface fruit, especially peripheral regions. These results suggest that frameworks could potentially provide new insights into which researchers unaware.

Carotenoids in fruits of different persimmon cultivars.

Carotenoids in the peel and the flesh of persimmon fruit were identified, and the contents of carotenoids in the fleshes of 46 different persimmon cultivars were analyzed. The results indicated that 31 specific carotenoids were detected in both cultivars of persimmons, among which nine specific carotenoids were characterized. β-cryptoxanthin was the most abundant carotenoid among all individual...

Hypoxia‐responsive ERFs involved in postdeastringency softening of persimmon fruit

Removal of astringency by endogenously formed acetaldehyde, achieved by postharvest anaerobic treatment, is of critical importance for many types of persimmon fruit. Although an anaerobic environment accelerates de-astringency, it also has the deleterious effect of promoting excessive softening, reducing shelf life and marketability. Some hypoxia-responsive ethylene response factors (ERFs) part...

A Study on Shelf life Extension of Carambola Fruits

The freshly harvested Carambola (Averrhoa Carambola L.) fruits were packed in different packaging matrials like high density polyethylene (HDPE) with a 1% and 2% ventilation with a pretreatment 2 % CaCl2 stored at ambient and also in refrigerated conditions the temperature was in the range of 18.0 to 21.0 0 C and Relative humidity of about 86 per cent. To evaluate the storage condition and pret...

A Transcriptome Approach Toward Understanding Fruit Softening in Persimmon

Persimmon (Diospyros kaki Thunb.), which is a climacteric fruit, softens in 3-5 weeks after harvest. However, little is known regarding the transcriptional changes that underlie persimmon ripening. In this study, high-throughput de novo RNA sequencing was performed to examine differential expression between freshly harvested (FH) and softened (ST) persimmon fruit peels. Using the Illumina HiSeq...
